Container Home: Land Excavation - 19 October 2014

This was the original excavation of the land. I decided to cut into the hill so that the back side of the container can be against the ground for cooling in the summer. The excavated land in the picture is lower than it looks. The back walls are 8 feet high.

Container Home: Survey - 27 September 2014

Before I started building, I surveyed the property. I found that surveying is relatively easy if you logically read the deed and look for the landmarks it describes. I did proceed though and got a surveyor out there for an official survey. I was only 8 inches off. That is the marker I pounded into the ground from the official surveyor.
